Fat burning turkey rissoles the whole family will love

Ronnie Oliech

Lean mince turkey rissoles are a favourite in our house. We can eat them at anytime of the day and they are easy to make. Pair them with your favourite crunchy salad, steamed veggies or roasted veggies and of course your favourite omega 3 source (ours is flax oil) to make your meal metabolically precise!

Ingredients

  • 2kg of lean turkey mince
  • 3 red capsicums
  • 1/2 spring onion
  • 1 bunch of coriander
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 egg: beaten
  • 1/4 cup of oat meal (or blend your whole oats into a fine powder/meal)
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of Vegeta chicken stock or Moroccan spice for seasoning

Method

Wash and finely chop your capsicum, spring onions and coriander.

In a big mixing bowl, combine your lean turkey mince, chopped capsicum, spring onion and coriander and mix well (hint: wash your hands and use your hands). Then add in your garlic, seasoning, oat meal (blend oats first if you have whole oats) and beaten egg. Mix well.

Once you have mixed all ingredients together, divide into even sized portions dependant on the size of the rissole you prefer. We divide the mixture into round balls.

Heat up a fry pan, spray with your choice of cooking oil and place even portions onto the fry pan. Make sure you don't over crowd the pan to ensure even heat to each rissole. If you have divided into round balls, flatten the mixture with your spatula, cook on medium heat to not burn the outside and ensure even cooking throughout the rissole.

Enjoy...
